Infiniti Becomes First Manufacturer to offer iOS Sticker Pack
Infiniti Sticker Pack Includes 26 Stickers Highlighting the New Q60 Coupe
As mobile technology becomes an increasingly pervasive part of our daily lives, we seem to continually find new and exciting ways to rehash old concepts. We all work and play on our phones on a near-constant basis, and when adult coloring books became popular recently, there were plenty of coloring book iPhone apps to pass the time while you waited for new emails from your boss, Facebook notifications from your friends, or Tinder notifications from potential love interests.
Following the trend of coloring books for grown-ups, sticker packs are gaining ground, with considerably easier cleanup when playtime is over. From the recent dancing bird Facebook sticker craze- one of the first memes of 2017 – to the excellent Automoji sticker pack from Kevin McCauley for sticker-obsessed Porsche fanatics – it looks like sticker packs are here to stay.
Infiniti decided to take the leap and offer the first iOS sticker pack from an automotive manufacturer, highlighting the Q60 sport coupe. The sticker pack, available for free in the iOS App Store, includes 26 iMessage stickers, including stickers displaying available interior and exterior body colors, as well as wheel options, badging, and even animated engine stickers for the available turbo four and V6 twin-turbo engines.
Allyson Witherspoon, Director of Marketing and Communications at Infiniti, states that “We developed the Q60 sticker pack so consumers can integrate Infiniti into their messaging in creative and unique ways. This is a rapidly growing way for people to communicate and we’re thrilled to give Infiniti fans an opportunity to incorporate the brand’s distinct style into their day-to-day conversations.”
In the above video, a conversation about the new Q60 is punctuated by stickers for effect. While the new Infinit Q60 is indeed a car worth looking forward to, we don’t often find ourselves bringing it up in casual conversation, but perhaps that’s the idea – maybe this app will get people thinking, talking, and even buying the new Q60.
